Apparently, Patreon had a major glitch (see below cut). I don’t think any of my patrons were affected but anyone supporting via patreon may want to make sure they were not impacted.

Patreon changed its billing from California to Dublin for this month. So a lot of banks rejected the transactions as possible fraud.

This would be recoverable … except that Patreon’s systems seem to have automatically wiped all patronage relationships with a bounced transaction!
